We were appointed to design a new house extension to create an open plan effect to a detached house in Cardiff.
After designing a scheme and obtaining permission we constructed this lovely rear extension. It involved cutting back into the rear garden that sloped towards the house and removing approx 200 tons of earth by hand due to there not being rear access to the property.
The extension involved some major ground and foundation works within a tight space. We also had to partially under–pin the rear of the existing property due to poor ground conditions.
That said, the end result was a beautiful new extension, which included the refurbishment of the existing lounge, the creation of an open plan kitchen/diner, a new utility room, a down stairs w/c room, some decorative garden walls, decking, fencing and of course another happy customer.
