Our Cardiff based client needed a large retaining wall to
prevent their garden from falling onto the public highway and also
to create more level garden space for them to enjoy.
But this wasn't just about building a wall. The design was
critical to making sure that the wall could withstand the ground
forces that would be exerted on it and prevent collapse and
slippage. We needed to move nearly 300 tonnes of earth and install
reinforced foundations before the wall could begin to take
shape.
